VELONOTTE MISSION AND TEAM
Velonotte (from Italian bike+night) concept was first revealed in Moscow in 2007 - for collective exploration, valorization and promotio of urban architecture and landscape studies, to inspire citizens and desicion makers about history and genius loci.
Our team is composed of historian Prof. Marina Avdonina, producer Maria Nikitina; tecnic director is George Zavyalov, Dr of Science and incredible traveller. Cinema dept is curated by Julia Zavyalova. Spirit advisor is Victoria Aristova. Our design board is led by Valentin Dyakonov, and we love a lot drawings by Dasha Serebryakova (watch out for her London Velonotte 2012 comic map). Original soundtracks are produced by Sweet Underground DJs. Sergey Nikitin is directing the whole of the show.

Velonotte™ is an annual non-profit series that presents secret places, key monuments and hidden lanscapes to hundreds and thousands of people. After Velonotte Roma (2010), two editions of Velonotte Pietrogrado in St. Petersburg, Velonight New York (2011), Terni Veloday and L'Olimpica in London, the project was brought to Istanbul(No.13) and London's West End (No.14). Three Velonotti in Kazan gathered young audience from Volga and Ural region, while Moscow events became annual since then. See history and videos for more

Sergey NIKITIN, PhD., Founding director of bureau de MosKultProg (1997) and VeloNotte international (2007) is a Moscow-based historian and sociourbanist. He is currently teaching Sociourbanistics at the Higher school of Economics.
Among his recent realizations - book Streets of Rome (in Russian), video project Masterlives Milano with students of Politecnico of Milan, Melnikov Bar and Teatro Instabile de Venexia for the Carnival of Venice.
